We all know the
problem so I will jump to my proposed solution:
There are thousands of insurance agents in every state who
are anxious to help customers and make money while doing it.
These agents are trained, licensed and/or certified by their
State Department of Insurance.
The Department of Insurance in every state has the database
of all licensed (certified) agents and their phone numbers.
Proposal:
·
Establish an 800 number ;
·
Forward calls from a region to agents in that
region. (E.g. a call coming from area code 818 and has the initial three
numbers 353, forward incoming calls randomly to agents whose phone is in the
area code 818, and whose phone numbers start with 353. If an incoming call is
from area code 661, and the first three numbers of the caller’s number is 259, forward
that call to an agent in area code 661, to an agent whose phone number starts
with 259. If there is no agent in that particular zone, then the call to be forwarded
in the same area code, but to an agent whose phone number is the closest to
that incoming phone number’s initial three numbers.)
Agents receiving the calls can process the
calls, gather all necessary information, complete the application and submit such
to the right department for finalization.
The applicants will be happy they were
assisted by professionals; the agents will be happy for the income they
generated and the service they provided; the government will be happy they are
out of a big mess without any additional costs and save face.
