Rhetoric, when left unchecked, can be more destructive than an AR-15.

Rhetoric, when left unchecked, can be more destructive than an AR-15. While an AR-15 has the potential to cause harm to 60-120, or possibly 180 people, and injure hundreds more, the unchecked use of exaggeration and sensationalism in rhetoric can incite a civil war. Such a war could result in the deaths of thousands, the injuries of millions, and the displacement of millions more, leading to widespread unemployment, homelessness, and despair. A historical example is the Lebanese civil war, instigated by Lebanese politicians in 1975, and the country hasn't recovered from it yet in 2024. The consequences of not critically evaluating, scrutinizing, and authenticating all statements made by politicians can be dire. We risk the erosion of our freedoms and democracy and the misuse of our votes. It is our responsibility as citizens to prevent such outcomes. https://Vote.gov Marc Boyajian author of "The Immigrant" https://tinyurl.com/2xuwmw2u #books #americandream #America #men #theimmigrant #women #man #woman #everyone #reader #book #immigrant #reading #bookworm #bookish #booktoker #bookclub #writer #immigration #immigrants @ followers @highlight #vote #votingrights #voterregistration #Vote2024 #votenow #VoteYourConscience #VoteYourValues #voteyourvoice #VoteSmart #sharethispost #like #share #radicalism #religion #terrorism #videoproduction #actor #filmproduction #directorofphotography #filmmaker #filmmakers #video #movies #production #film #behindthescenes #filmmaking #cinematic #videography #filmphotography #cinema #films #cinematographer #director #producer #indiefilm #filmcrew #photography #setlife #filmdirector #cinematography #filming #bhfyp #movie #shortfilm
