Before I vote for the candidate, what's in it for my family and me? Voting is more than merely marking a space on a ballot when you are a citizen who can influence the course of our nation. It's a key component in choosing our leader. For someone to win your support and take the helm of our country, they must meet a few requirements. The economy: A robust economy can provide opportunities for decent jobs with decent pay, ensuring a comfortable life for you and your family. It can also guarantee access to quality healthcare and lead to a fair tax system for everyone with a decent job. Immigration: America has always welcomed legal immigrants and has proven that immigration has helped America throughout history. Many countries now suffer in their economies because they do not have an immigration policy. Look around, and you will find many countries that have fallen behind because of it. A vigorous immigration policy is crucial for our country's prosperity. Education is not just necessary for progress; it is the key to empowerment and inspiration. It's about the present and shaping our country's future. A robust educational system, with adequate funding and support, can ensure a well-educated and skilled workforce for generations to come. Foreign policy: As the most robust and prosperous country, we must lead the world and maintain balance to ensure the safety of all. We can do this by building friendships and allies. Privacy in my bedroom: The government must monitor and keep us safe from illnesses, viruses, and poison in our food and guard our interests as a nation, but entering our bedrooms is wrong. I shouldn't worry if the government is in my bedroom checking and controlling who I am with, what I am doing, how I am doing it, and when I am doing whatever I am doing. They have no business in my bedroom. Finally, who we choose to judge our actions is very important, as is who sits on the benches, from the little town to the Supreme Court. These individuals shape our laws and interpret our rights, making it crucial to select them wisely. Choosing who to vote for wisely is not just about the present but about keeping our democracy intact for the future. I do not want to go back to the extreme religious period in history governed by an iron fist, like in the third-world autocratic countries. I've lived in that region, and it is no fun.
